The ATVs (all terrain automobiles) we know nowadays had really humble beginnings in the mountainous farming regions of Japan. The muddy mountain roads became difficult for the farmers to travel through spring thaws and were virtually impossible to drive more than with traditional automobiles or big machinery. The Japanese, generally a culture to modify and tinker with something till they could strengthen it, made the three wheeled ATV. This automobile did wonders for helping the neighborhood farmers. The ATVs were less high-priced than the bigger farm automobiles and it proved to be an fantastic small workhorse.
